The guarantee
Found savings are a cheaper brand, a cheaper pack, or the same item at a cheaper store. A price that only went up does not count. The refund is the gap only, and only after you have linked a card and itemized that week, month or year.
Questions
How the guarantee works.
- What is the savings guarantee?
- On the weekly plan we look for at least $7.99 found in each paid week. On the monthly plan, at least $29 in each paid month. On the annual plan, at least $288 across the paid year. If we find less, we refund the difference. We do not refund more than you paid.
- What counts as found?
- A cheaper move on an item you actually bought: a store brand instead of the name brand, a larger pack with a lower price per unit, or the same item for less at another store. Buying it twice counts twice.
- What if I already buy store brands?
- The brand swap is skipped. We still compare pack size and other stores on that same item. If those gaps still add up to less than the price, the difference is refunded.
- Do you question the purchase?
- Once, if the same place keeps showing up. You can say "help me spend less here" or "this is the treat." The treat is left alone. Help means you set the cap. That gap is not part of the refund. A used listing for a durable thing, such as a vacuum or a bike, can be mentioned. It is not counted as savings found. Groceries are not shopped used.
- Do higher prices count?
- No. Eggs costing more than last time is a price change, not savings, unless a cheaper pack or store was available for that same item. The cheaper option is what counts, not the increase.
- Does the annual plan have to hit $29 every month?
- No. The year is one number. A strong month can cover a thin one. The bar is $288 for the year, which is $24 a month on average.
- When does it apply?
- After the free first month, once a card is linked and the period is itemized. For a month or a year: at least four receipt-worthy shops, or at least half of them. For a week: at least half of the receipt-worthy shops that week. A period with no receipts is not refunded. We never saw the basket.
- When is the difference refunded?
- Weekly plans are settled each paid week. Monthly plans are settled each paid month. Annual plans are settled at the end of the paid year.
